United Way to announce winners of new 2008 Mercedes and $2,000 TV on Saturday
Boise, Idaho—Christmas will arrive a few weeks early this year for two lucky Treasure Valley residents who on Saturday, December 8th will take home “the ultimate” in holiday gifts: a 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300 Sports Sedan and a 50 inch Samsung High Definition Television. Two events are scheduled on Saturday, one at 11:00am and a second at 1:00pm to announce the grand prize winners.
The two winners will be announced from 20 finalists (see attached lists) whose names were selected at random in weekly drawings during this year’s United Way Community Campaign, beginning back on August 30. In order to qualify, all you had to do was attend a United Way campaign meeting. More than 350 Treasure Valley companies and organizations conducted workplace campaigns this year.
10 of the finalists will gather at 11:00am at Lyle Pearson at 351 Auto Drive for the first giveaway: a one-year lease on a 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300 Sports Sedan – valued at more than $35,000 and donated by the Lyle Pearson Company. Each of the finalists will draw for a key. One-by-one each will have an opportunity to try their key – if it starts, they win the Mercedes for a year!
Following the car giveaway, the 10 other finalists will gather at 1:00pm at Best Buy in Boise located at 8363 W. Franklin Road for a chance to win a 50 inch Samsung High Definition Television valued at more than $2,000. Each of the TV finalists will receive a wrapped present containing a TV remote, but only one will turn-on the TV and win the new HDTV donated by Best Buy.
All of the proceeds from this year’s United Way Community Campaign will help improve lives here in the Treasure Valley. Final campaign results will be announced in early 2008.
