United Way announces first alternative spring break project: Break Through with Original Gangster’s Academy

Boise, Idaho--The United Way of Treasure Valley and the Original Gangster’s Academy are teaming up to stage Break Through, an alternative spring break project designed to engage young people in a meaningful volunteer experience in their community.

The two-day project will bring Treasure Valley high school students together to develop the vacant lot near downtown Nampa that serves as OGA’s campus into a space that beautifies the neighborhood and fosters a sense of community.

Break Through is Friday, March 28 through Saturday, March 29. Students interested in Break Through can register online at unitedwaytv.org. Registration deadline is Monday, March 10.

For more information, contact Neva Geisler at United Way at 336-1070 x122, or visit unitedwaytv.org.
