Sell-Out Crowd Expected at United Way Campaign Celebration
Boise, Idaho – More than 500 people are expected to attend United Way’s 2008-09 Community Campaign Celebration on March 11, 2009 at Boise State University’s Stueckle Sky Center. The event begins at 5:30pm and tickets are just $10.
Along with live music and a no-host bar, the highlight of the event will be the announcement of funds raised for the community along with this year’s Spirit of Caring award winners recognizing outstanding United Way workplace campaigns. The 2008-09 campaign kicked-off in August with a community Flapjack Feed attended by over 1,300 and featuring more than 50 celebrity flapjack flippers including Governor Butch Otter, First Lady Lori Otter, Congressman Mike Simpson, Secretary of State Ben Ysursa, and BSU Coaches Greg Patton – Tennis, and Greg Graham – Basketball, just to name a few.
