United Way of Treasure Valley announces new board positions

 

Boise, Idaho – United Way of Treasure Valley announced that Wayne Rancourt, Vice President and Treasurer, Boise Cascade, L.L.C. has been elected Chair of United Way’s Board of Directors. Rancourt will serve as chairman for two-years.

Ed Schultz, Accounting manager for CH2M Hill is the new Chair of United Way’s Community Impact Council for 2009-10. The Community Impact Council is made up of volunteers who meet monthly to stay informed about community needs and to oversee United Way’s Community Fund grants process.

    Rancourt has been a member of United Way’s Board since 2006 and has lived in Boise since 1983. His wife Wendy is a former teacher, and they have two sons. Besides working to make the Treasure Valley a great community, Rancourt is also an avid runner who has completed 8 marathons and 4 ultra-marathon’s, including one last year of 100 miles and this year’s Boston Marathon.

    United Way’s Board of Directors is comprised of top business and community leaders in the Treasure Valley. As volunteers, their task is to lead United Way in its mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of the community. They lead the organization’s impact work, fundraising efforts, and insure the integrity of the organization by overseeing its policies and financial affairs.
