| Ed Schultz has lived in Boise for over 30 years and is a manager for CH2M Hill. Ed married a Boise native and is a BSU graduate in Accounting with 25 years experience in Accounting and Management. Ed has more than four years of volunteer experience with United Way serving on United Way’s Board of Directors, the Community Impact Council, and Review Teams. Ed became a United Way volunteer to learn more about the community and its needs, and to help make a difference. |

| Carl Arriola is the CEO of Tates Rents. Carl was born and raised in Boise. He served thirteen years in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserve. He earned a BBA in Accounting and an MBA from Boise State University. He has a twenty year history of volunteerism with non-profit organizations and activities primarily in youth related activities including serving as a volunteer teacher and guest speaker for Junior Achievement of Idaho. |

| Roger Aguilar is Caldwell Branch Manager at Intermountain Community Bank. He earned his BA from the College of Idaho with a Major in Business, Language and Culture and a minor in French. Roger spent six months studying abroad in Paris and is a graduate of Leadership Idaho Agriculture, Western Banking Commercial Lending and Intermediate Schools. Roger is currently earning his MBA at George Fox University where he was part of the GFU’s 2009 CFA Global Investment Research Challenge Team winning locally and moving on to compete at a national level. Roger enjoys soccer and played four years on the men’s soccer team helping them advance to the NAIA National Championships in 2000. He moved on to coach soccer for Payette High School. Roger was a Loaned Executive for United Way in 2008 and is a current Loaned Executive Alumni Philanthropist (L.E.A.P.) member. He Volunteers for the Mentoring Network and other local organizations and is a happy newlywed to his wife Katie. |

| Ridgely Denning is a Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager in U.S. Bank's Boise Metro Commercial Banking Center. As a banker, she works with businesses, health care providers, and non-profit organizations on structuring and providing their financing and cash management services. She presently serves on the Board of Directors of United Way of Treasure Valley, the Idaho Law Foundation, and Capital Matrix, which provides SBA 504 funding to businesses for capital projects. A native of the Southwest, Ridgley earned her MBA in Finance at Texas Tech University. Her Bachelor of Arts degree was from Kansas State University. Her love of mountain climbing and skiing led her to Boise to join the Idaho First National Bank, which later merged with U.S. Bank. One of her first and favorite contributions to the community here was helping start the Discovery Center of Idaho as a Junior League of Boise volunteer. She was a 2007 Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) honoree. |

| Susan Gibson is Vice President of Mission and Human Resources at Saint Alphonsus. She is responsible for Missions Services, Organizational Development, Chaplaincy, Ethics, Government Relations, Community Benefit, Hospitality, School Nursing Parish Nursing, Human Resources, EAP, and Organizational Learning. Susan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has experience as a staff nurse at medical facilities in Texas and California. She earned her Master of Arts in Theology from University of Notre Dame; a Masters in Business Administration from Centenary College in Shreveport and Ethics Institute Level II from the St. Louis University Center for Health Care Ethics. She is currently completing a Doctoral Degree in Leadership Studies. She received the WCA TWIN Award in 2003. Susan has served on the Board of Directors for United Way since 2006 and is also a Board Co-Chair for the Born Learning Initiative. Susan has been married to Paul for 41 years. They have three daughters and four grandchildren scattered around the country. |

| Jim Girvan is the Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Boise State University where he also serves as a professor. His professional background is in the area of public health promotion/disease prevention and health policy. Jim serves on the boards of the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho, the United Way of Treasure Valley, the Area Health Education Consortium, and is a member of the Mission Committee at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. He enjoys reading, writing, camping, hiking, listening to a variety of types of music, golf, tennis, gardening, volunteering in the community, spending time with his wife of 40 years, Georgia, and their children and grandchildren, and watching team sports. During his career Dr. Girvan has authored over 30 articles in professional journals, has been awarded nearly $3.5 million dollars in grants and contracts, and has been selected ten times for outstanding teaching and public and professional service. |

| Jeff Larsen Is a Services Business Manager with Hewlett-Packard where he has worked since 1992. His background is in strategic business planning and program management. Jeff led the local HP Charitable Giving Campaign in 2006 and 2007 and was instrumental to the creation of an employee community volunteerism group at HP’s Boise campus. In the community, Jeff has been actively involved with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s biking event since 2004, including serving as volunteer chairperson in 2007. He plays an active role in the bicycling community, including promoting charity rides, rider education and advocacy. Jeff has an MBA from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Stanford University. He is married with three children and has called Boise home since 1988. |

| Theresa McLeod is the Assistant for Special Projects to Boise Mayor Dave Bieter. Prior to joining the City in 2004, Theresa worked in Boise’s private sector for twenty years. In her current position, Theresa is the liaison to the business community, school districts, non-profits, civic organizations and neighborhood associations. Special Projects include: Creation of the Mayor’s Council on Children and Youth for which Boise’s CLEAR Initiative received a National League of Cities award; Coordination of the creation of Boise’s 10-Year Plan to Reduce and Prevent Chronic Homelessness; Coordination of the Mayor’s Business Roundtable and coordination of the update of the City’s Economic Development Plan; Coordination of Boise’s annual distribution of grants to the City’s 34 neighborhood associations; coordination of the Mayor’s Detox Facility Steering Committee. Theresa is married to Mike McLeod and they are the parents of a son in college and a daughter in high school. Her passions include volunteering, skiing, hiking and reading. Theresa received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an International Emphasis and an English Minor from the University of Puget Sound. |

| Jack Myers is Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of Blue Cross of Idaho where he has worked since 1999. Jack has 25 years of healthcare financial management experience. Prior to joining BCI, Jack served as CFO for Kaiser/Group Health and Vice President and Controller for Group Health Cooperative in Seattle, Washington. His Seattle experience included 16 years of financial management responsibility of integrated managed care health plans. He started his career with the New York office of Deloitte and Touche. Jack is a Certified Public Accountant and received his undergraduate degree from Lycoming College in Pennsylvania. He has also been awarded an MBA from Fordham University. Jack has served on the Boards of several organizations including Cornish College of the Arts, Group Health Credit Union and Kaiser/Group Health Foundation in Seattle, and Boise Contemporary Theater. Jack is in his second year as a member of United Way of Treasure Valley’s Board of Directors. He joined the Impact Council in order to get more involved with the agencies supported by United Way. |

| Jim Owens is currently a consultant on healthcare, the environment, and business issues, with 30 years of leadership experience in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. Leadership roles in Idaho include: Director of the Southwest District Health Department; founding Director of the Boise Clinic, and the Healthcare for the Homeless Project, Terry Reilly Health Services; President, Idaho Public Health Association; Co-founder and President, Idaho Rural Health Association. Jim has had a long association with United Way, as a United Way agency recipient, and as a volunteer in numerous roles, including President and Board Chair, Canyon County United Way (pre-merger). Jim was a member of the sociology faculty at the University of Idaho; and later a part-time adjunct, at Boise State University. Jim continues to work towards improving public policy, service delivery systems, and program outcomes. |

| Roger Quarles is the superintendent of the Caldwell School District. He was hired as Caldwell’s deputy superintendent in 2005 before his promotion in 2007. The Caldwell School District is the ninth largest district in Idaho and serves about 6,300 students and more than 800 staff members. He began his professional career in education in 1996 as a secondary teacher in Idaho’s Blaine Country School District. He was the director of the Blaine County Academy of Arts and Sciences from 1996 to 2000 before he accepted the high school principal position in the Kuna School District where he served until his move to Caldwell. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Chico, and Masters of Education and Education Specialists degrees from the University of Idaho. He is completing his doctoral in Educational Leadership through the University of Idaho. Roger Quarles believes that every child can learn if a district provides a quality environment and great teachers. Roger serves on several boards throughout the Treasure Valley and enjoys tennis, golf and the beautiful outdoors in Idaho. |

| Wendy Rancourt is a community volunteer. She was born and raised in the Seattle area and has lived in Boise for 23 years. She has an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Central Washington University and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Boise State University. Wendy taught first grade at Lowell Elementary in Boise before starting her family. She has remained active in the education arena volunteering in Seattle, Chicago and Boise area schools and is certified to teach in Idaho and Washington. Wendy is vice president of her homeowners association and in the past has served on neighborhood boards, been a scout leader and volunteered for a variety of Boise non-profits. Wendy has been married to her high school sweetheart, Wayne, for 26 years and has two sons, Greg and Stephen. Greg is a junior at the University of Colorado at Boulder and Stephen is a sophomore attending Boise State University. She enjoys camping, including winter snow caving, gardening, and Nordic skiing. |

| Jennifer Reynolds is a Regional District Manager for U.S. Bank for the Western Idaho Region. In this current position she is responsible for the West Boise/Nampa district which includes eight of U.S. Bank’s local branches. Previous to this recent position, Jennifer has held numerous positions within U.S. Bank, beginning her career in 1990 as a teller. Jennifer is on the advisory board for the Boys and Girls club in Canyon County and served on various non profit committees throughout Canyon County. Jennifer has been involved in United Way for four years, serving on the Education Review Team, the Income Review Team and the Impact Council. In addition, Jennifer is active in the U.S. Bank employee contribution drive. She was a 2009 Tribute To Women and Industry (TWIN) honoree. Jennifer enjoys volunteering, reading, vacationing and spending time with her children at various sporting events. |

| Landis Rossi is the Program Manager for Service Integration at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. In this role she manages the 2-1-1 Idaho Careline and the Navigation Program both of which are tied tightly to communities across the state. Prior to joining Health and Welfare Landis spent six years with Easter Seals-Goodwill designing and managing programs for low income families and people with disabilities. Landis graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Business Administration in 2000 and also serves on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities of Idaho. She has been involved in the community investment process with the United Way for the last three years serving on the evaluations committees for Health and Income. |

| Cynthia Sanders is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Boise State University. She received her Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to joining the faculty at Boise State she was an Assistant Professor at University of Missouri-St. Louis. A Utah native she was drawn back to the West and joined the faculty at BSU in 2004. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in macro practice, social policy, and research methods. She conducts research and publishes on community based initiatives aimed at reducing poverty through social and economic development. Specific interests and areas of expertise include microenterprise, financial education and financial services for low-income groups, and asset development strategies for the poor. Additionally, her research has emphasized economic development work with low-income women including women who have experienced domestic violence. |

| Betty Sims is a retired community volunteer. Betty received a BA in Psychology from Whitman College and an MA in Education Counseling. Her restless mind contributed to a varied professional life. She is currently retired after 14 years at Micron Technology, initially as its first affirmative action officer, followed by responsibility for developing and managing its first company-wide training program, and finishing with the development of a K-12 program, involving students and teachers in preparation for the workplace. Prior professional positions include: investigator/mediator with the Idaho Human Rights Commission, social worker, stock portfolio analyst, and recreation specialist for the U.S. Army in Germany. In early retirement, Betty worked with Patricia Kempthorne planning the first annual Governor’s Roundtable for Families and Children. Betty retirement activities include volunteering, initially as a tutor and board member at the Learning Lab, and as an initial board member of Anser Charter School. More recently her volunteer time is with United Way and The Osher Institute of Lifelong Learning. She is a biking/walking/yoga/book club/travel fan. She and her husband Bob have lived in Boise for nearly 40 years, and have three children and nine grandchildren located in Boise, Portland, and Los Angeles. |

| Marilyn Shuler is a community volunteer. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and a Masters in Public Administration from Boise State University. She served as the director of the Idaho Human Rights Commission from 1978 until her retirement in 1998. A widow, she was married to John Shuler, a social worker who specialized in youth rehabilitation. She and her husband were foster parents for many years and she served on the advisory board of the Boise Casey Family Program. She was part of the YWCA non-tuition kindergarten program for low income children and served as a volunteer teacher for three years. She was elected to the Boise School board in 1970 and served as president from 1974-76. She was appointed to the board of the Boise Redevelopment Agency and worked on rebuilding downtown Boise. She served for ten years as one of five board members on the Idaho Public Employees Retirement System (PERSI). She was president of the board of the Idaho Human Rights Education Center when the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial was built and has volunteered as a guardian ad litem for the Fourth Judicial Court and as a board member for the Boise Family YMCA, the Boise Schools Education Foundation, Idaho Kids Count, the Martin Peace Institute at the U. of I. and the Boise Committee on Foreign Relations. She has been active on the advisory board of the Osher Institute of Lifelong Learning at BSU. She currently serves on the advisory board of Idaho Public TV and is on the board of the City Club of Boise. She has two sons and five grandchildren who are good looking and above average. |

| Corey Surber serves as Advocacy and Community Health Coordinator at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center where she serves as the primary liaison between Saint Alphonsus and federal, state and local governments and facilitates various community health improvement projects. Corey has been with Saint Alphonsus for 16 years. Corey earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Albertson College of Idaho and a Master of Health Science degree from Boise State University. Community involvement is a key part of Corey's work life, and her personal life as well. She serves as a Board Member for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County, is a recent graduate of Leadership Boise, and actively advocates for cancer issues. Corey has been an active volunteer with United Way for 4 years, serving as United Way campaign chair for Saint Alphonsus, grant review team volunteer, and Community Impact Council member. Serving on the Community Impact Council offers an opportunity for Corey to be actively involved in ensuring that United Way campaign funds are directed toward high-impact programs that foster positive change and address our most pressing community needs. |

| Heather Wheeler is the Executive Director for the Community Transportation Association of Idaho (CTAI), a non-profit association dedicated to supporting, coordinating and promoting mobility in Idaho. In this role, Heather manages all day-to-day operations of CTAI, maintains and enhances membership, and works closely with federal, state and local elected officials as well as public agencies and businesses, on public transportation and mobility issues and solutions. Heather has over 15 years of experience in public administration. Most recently, Heather served as Administrator for communications and regional development and as Regional Director of Region IV for the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Prior to this experience, Heather was Deputy Director of the Municipality of Anchorage, Department of Health and Human Services in Alaska. Heather is also a Registered Dietitian and began her career as manager and dietitian for the WIC Program in Colorado and then in Alaska. |
