Major gift donors are encouraged to invest in the work of United Way at the highest level possible. Growing the funds available to United Way for strategic community impact is our primary goal.
As a way to help potential donors begin a major giving relationship with us, individuals will be given the opportunity to "bundle" their community giving through United Way.
How does bundling work?
- Through individual conversations, potential donors will be asked to commit a major gift to United Way of Treasure Valley at a Tocqueville level.
- Donors are encouraged to give a gift of $10,000 or more to United Way’s Community Care Fund or any of our initiatives.
- Donors are given the option to designate a portion of their gift at the time of their pledge.
- Donors are given the opportunity to have a portion of their gift reserved for future designations from the time of pledge payment until the end of our fiscal year, April 1 through March 31. If a donor wishes to reserve a portion of their gift, a check and a letter stating the purpose of the gift and the donor’s name(s) will be sent to the agency within two days following receipt of the donor’s letter.
